• Contractor names and contact information

Easily find professionals your neighbors have already used.

• License verification

Each contractor’s status is checked through the Nevada State Contractors Board, so you can confirm they’re properly licensed. If a NV contractor’s license is not required, we provide you with their city or state license information.

• Resident feedback with dates

SCS residents share detailed remarks about their real experiences—what went well,what didn’t, and what you can expect.

Each comment includes the date it was submitted, giving you helpful context and recency.

• Contractors to avoid

The list also highlights contractors that residents recommend steering clear of, helping you make informed decisions and avoid headaches.

• Do not approach: Maintain a safe distance and avoid direct confrontation.

• Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, it probably is. Don't dismiss your gut feeling.

• Be aware of your surroundings: Pay attention to exits and potential escape routes.

• Avoid distractions: Put away your phone and focus on the situation.

• If you feel threatened, remove yourself from the situation immediately.

• Emergency Situation: If the activity is currently in progress and poses an immediate threat, call 911. immediately.

• Non-Emergency Situation: If the activity is not an immediate threat, call 311 LVMPD's non-emergency line. Also call SCS Patrol.

Fake Medicare Equipment or Coverage Claims

How it works:

Fraudsters submit false claims to Medicare for medical devices or services you never received. These can include braces, wheelchairs, or health screenings.

What to look for:

Suspicious charges in your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or Medicare Summary Notice (MSN)

Claims for services you didn’t use

How to Avoid:

Keep a record of your legitimate Medicare appointments and compare them against your statements. Report anything unusual right away.

Go into your mobile phone carrier’s app or website and add SIM protection at no cost to you. Or, call their customer service dept. for assistance.

SIM Protection gives you the ability to lock lines on your account to prohibit changes to the SIM cards associated with those lines. Any request to change your SIM will not be processed until you unlock the SIM protection on your phone.
